This is a beautiful Antique Victorian circa 1890 Scottish agate sterling silver brooch.I have collected agates in Scotland for over 20 years and know where most of the lovely gemstones that Victorians used for their classic jewellery were found.
The agate is a stunning banded carnelian agate from near Cupar in Fife. The agate is in lovely condition!The brooch is made of sterling silver and although not hallmarked which is fairly normal for pieces of this period, has been fully tested and is sterling silver. The brooch length 2.5 cm ( One inch ) and the pin and C clasp are in good working condition although not original.If when you receive your winning item and for any reason are not happy with the purchase please get in touch before leaving response and I will endeavour to resolve any issue you may have amicably.
