Antique serving spoon and fork set with ornate Victorian/Art Nouveau/ mythical creature style decoration to metal. Possibly EPNS or low-grade foreign silver.Found whilst clearing out my Great Uncle and Aunt\'s house. Large serving spoon and fork with very ornate \'zoomorphic \' decoration and heavy handles (could be Bakelite or horn?) handles. No readable maker\'s marks or stamps, apart from those shown in photos at join of two materials. Measuring at fork-24.5 cms long by 7cms wide , spoon 26 cms long by 7 cms wide bowl.Very interesting \'dragon\' or sea-creature decoration - please see photos for the detail, it is quite striking.I have given them a quick clean and polish as they were very stained and tarnished- if they are plated then the plate has been worn thin due to use and polishing. Also, one of my relatives has attempted a repair with splodges of glue on the spoon handle, someone with a steady hand could probably tidy this up.Selling with .
