This piece is approx.9 1/2\" tall. Its original use was to serve soft boiled eggs.Today it may also be used to serveliquor or mints, etc.There are 6 removable eggcups. The item is supported with four feet which are quite ornate. The diameter of the tray isapron. 9\".. The metal surrounding the caddy is beautifully cutout.. The piece needs a polish but the silver is in great condition. The cups are cutout and a lovely petal pattern on the base of each cup. The handle in engraved with a leaf pattern. The legs are also lovely. There are no makers marks that I can find but this is clearly a very fine piece.
