NOT RELISTING!This is a beautiful, and highly detailed bronze figural parrot stamp box. It has a lovely gilt gold coloring to the metal. There are very realistic feather details. It literally looks like a parrot head dipped in old gold! It is heavy, and opens to reveal an area where antique stamps can be put inside. The beak is amazing also!WEIGHT: this piece is heavy for its size, and weighs 12.5 oz.
CONDITION:This box dates from about the late 19 century. There are no stamps or hallmarks. This piece is in very good antique condition with some expected wear...mostly on bottom underside, inside, and some to the beak...overall very nice condition. The box opens and closes well...the hinge is in good working order. There are 2 areas of discoloration on the bottom underside...I am not sure if these were from price tag stickers or part of the original design. The details are amazingly realistic! This is an outstandingly beautiful item!Please see the photos, as these are part of the description.
