This Stein has an early style, \"Child Monk/Munich Child\" as well as the earlier \"Grufs\" spelling as opposed to the more current \"Gruss\" spelling. \"Grufs aus Munchen\" interprets to \"Greetings From Munich\". There is a 1/4\" chip to the upper lip as well as other small paint chipping to the paint on the lip. There is no crazing on this stein. Otherwise there is no other damage. The very top of the lid depicts a hunter with his rifle slung behind him with his Pipe in one hand and a stein of beer in the other and \"Gemutlich Keit\" on the banner above his head. Around the waist of the lid is, \"Sing und trinke allezeit so wird dir nie das Leben leid\". The inside of the lid has the letter \"R\" stamped by the hinge. There are no markings on the bottom of this stein. The Lithopone depicts a traditional dressed Frau, a Gentleman and a Hunter both offering a flower to the Lady while sitting at a Gasthous table. Measures 8-1/4\"H(tip of thumb finial) x 3-3/4\"D at the base. Please look the pictures over to your satisfaction and ask any questions prior to purchasing as I have a no return policy.
