Antique Vintage 1949 Pennant Washington D C The Capitol Souvenir Of Washington:

This is an interesting antique Washington DC pennant with a 1949 inter looping banner on the left hand side. This pennant belonged to my dad, and he decorated his room with it when he was a child / teenager. My grandmother saved it all these years in a cedar lined box. It only had one owner, my dad! The pennant is green with tan colored Washington D. C. The 1949 banner is a gold color. There is a depiction of the Capitol building that says The Capitol above it. The side has a double sewn trim in gold, and gold colored tassels sewn in. The pennant measures 17 inches long and is 6 1/2 inches wide at the widest point. I can imagine my dad and grandparents bought this on a family trip to Washington DC in 1949. It is in excellent shape considering it is close to 70 years old!
