The History

This beautiful piece comes from the Art Deco Era! The Art Deco Era is famous for being the \"Gatsby\" or \"Roaring Twenties\" Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designs in jewelry came out of this period.

During the Art Deco Period jewelers often made jewelry upon custom order, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand.

Rubies are considered one of the four precious gemstones in the world along with Diamonds, Emeralds, & Sapphires. Rubies have adorned Royal jewelry for years and has been highly prized for their rarity and gorgeous red hues.

The chasing technique is a very difficult silversmith process when the artist uses a nail like tool and hammer to hand etch patterns within the metal work. This process was very difficult and only the best jewelers were trained in the process.

This pin was bought from a German Estate and then brought to the U.S.!

The Piece

The brooch includes gorgeous round cut rubies throughout! all of the Ruby stones feature incredible facets that reflect light beautifully off of their surface and their signature light red color! Each Ruby is in great condition and weighs in at a total of .38 Cts!

The design in this brooch includes classic Art Deco Era craftsmanship throughout! The design show cases thick settings for each Ruby gem stone as well as incredible leaf patterns that are used as the base of the pin! The leaf patterns are intricatelycarved with incredible detail and add an incredible style to the pin.

The brooch measures 1\" long by 3/4\" wide and is backed with a secure enclosed \"C\" style catch that works perfectly.
