The stone would have most likely been sourced from British controlled India during this time period, which makes sense that the pendant has English Hallmarks along the bale. Star Rubies are one of the rarest stones on the planet and are highly sought after by collectors, especially antique stones like this. The pictures DO NOT do this stone justice. The stone shows a clear 6 ray star that moves with the light and is very clean looking in everyday light unlike the photographs. The beautiful stone features a very rare type of cut that highlights the star, called a Bullet Cabochon cut. The cut of the stone juts out at the viewer with a unique appearance. The stone has a substantial amount of carat weight as well.
The pendant is made from solid 14k Yellow Gold and includes English hallmarkson the bale. Surrounding the stone is a Florentinetextured finish on the gold that attracts the eye towards the stone.
