The History

This beautiful pair of earrings comes from the Art Deco Era! The Art DecoEra is famous for being the \"Gatsby\" or\"RoaringTwenties\" Era. A lot of gorgeous and timeless designsin jewelry came out of this period.

During the Art Deco Period jewelers often made jewelry upon customorder, this would often take weeks to months to completely craft by hand.

The Grand Tour was the standard European vacation of theGeorgian and Victorian eras. The opportunity it gave for studying culture, architecture and art made it a tradition, especially for the upper classes. Andwhat better souvenir of this long trip than pieces of native souvenir jewelrysuch as Italian cameos, mosaic and pietra dura pieces. Pieces often also hadhistorical inspirations from the remnants of Pompeii to the pyramids of Egypt, cultural learning was a focal point of the grand tour, the process ofremembrance spilled over into jewelry souvenirs.

EtruscanRevival Jewelry was known for the clean and elegant simplicity of ancient Greekand Roman design and detailed by granulation and scrolled wire work. MasterItalian goldsmiths, such as Castellani, were famous for their work in thisstyle. Other Etruscan Revival pieces, include cameos of carved lava, hardstoneor shell, in yellow gold, which were detailed with scenes from classicmythology or jewelry created in micro-mosaic and pietra dura. Gods andgoddesses, nymphs and warriors, were all prevalent as well as motifs consistingof grapes, vines, swags and garlands.

Madeira Citrine during the Art Deco Period were extremelyrare and highly sought after. Madeira Citrine get\'s it\'s name from Madeira Wineoff the coast of Portugal, it deeply resembles this beautiful wine\'s color.

The Piece

Each earring includes an Emerald cut 8 mm Yellow Citrine. Along the top of the earrings are Princess cut Yellow Citrine\'s as well. The color of the Citrine is a beautiful mix between Yellow and a light Orange.

*Due to the age of some of these pieces some items will not be stamped. The National Stamping Act was not enacted until 1906, before 1906 jewelry was not legally required to have a karat mark. This is one way to date items prior to the Art Nouveau time period.

XRF-Spectrometer Gun:All of our jewelry is verified and guaranteed though an x-ray florescent-spectrometer test. This test conducts and determines the exact alloy content within the metal without damaging the piece like scratch and acid testing. Please be aware if you take an item to be tested by a jeweler, jewelers use scratch testing and electronic testing. These methods are only accurate 50% of the time, these are cheap, ineffective, and damaging ways to test to gold purity of an item. The XRF requires specialized training in order to correctly read the results. This is a $25,000 piece of equipment and is extremely accurate. Rest assured that what you are receiving is 100% accurate.

Returns:No questions asked, no hassle, 30 days money back, buyer pays return shipping. Item(s) must be sent back in original condition. We are happy to assist your return postage if we made a gross error. If you plan to take your item to a jeweler please visit one with a specialized field in estate jewelry. Most jewelry stores work with new/modern designs and on rare occasion are asked about vintage items. Chain jewelers are NOT a reliable source to date a piece of jewelry unless they are specialized with estate items. Aumia sees more antique and vintage jewelry pieces in one day than the average jeweler sees in years. Please take your time to find a qualified, and reputable antique dealer if you would like a second opinion.

About us: Chris and Alexis. We started out in the jewelry business knowing individuals who were in the smelting business. As we watched these smelters melting new, vintage, & antique 100+ year old jewelry for the metal value, we cringed!! We thought that there must be a way to save this special and once in a lifetime type of jewelry instead of melting these wonderful items.Well....the bright idea of selling these beautiful items smacked us in the face!We started buying small items such as rings, bracelets and necklaces from these smelters and selling these items to wonderful people who would appreciate them and cherish them for a lifetime.

After starting out small time, we started to go to Antique shops, estate sales, estate buy outs, smelters, sales, coin shows, or just about anywhere possible we could get our hands on these wonderful and beautiful jewelry items! We started to set up at trade shows and other events to sell to people. We eventually phased out the trade show atmosphere and started selling jewelry on ! I\'m glad we did, you can get just as much interaction with people over the internet as you can face to face. We love all of our customers and love the quick messages anybody likes to send our way! After starting to sell jewelry on we started our business called Aumia Gold & Silver Jewelry And Collectibles LLC, \"Aumia\" Is Golden Lady in Latin. We try to offer a variety of jewelry from Rings, Necklaces, Pendants, Brooch\'s, Gold & Silver. We also offer Native American Jewelry, Art Deco Jewelry, Victorian Jewelry, Antique Chinese Jewelry and so much more! We try to post a mix of each variety every week.

We found our niche! The success on has made this into our full time job. Because of our great loyal customers and new ones every day you are helping us provide our future and the large contributions we donate to our Rotary club to help eradicate polio and create women empowerment projects in Nepal. We both heavily believe in helping others and creating wonderful new opportunities internationally and domestically. Aumia has provided us our future and love towards our passion. We can’t see ourselves doing anything else. It is something new every day. We treat people with theutmostrespect and customer service is our main priority.
