This Antique General Electric Hotpoint Calrod Iron is in very good condition. The finish on the wooden handle is in excellent condition. The heavy cardboard box is sturdy but somewhat worn along the top edges. The left top flap is torn. The lettering and artwork is still crisp and intact.

This is clearly a mid-1930s vintage electric iron, because t is an NRA (National Recovery Administration) Member emblem printed on the top cover. One of the alphabet soup agencies of President Franklin Roosevelt\'s New Deal, such as the CCC or WPA, the NRA or National Recovery Administration operated from 1933 to 1936.
