Darling miniature German Putz figure of asnow baby girl dressed all in white holding a container for a tiny candle.
Amazing that this piece hassurvived as even so there is evident fire damage from a candle burning down too low. Tightly spun white cotton legs, arms, long coat and hat. Adorned with tufted white cotton trim around hat , coat sleeves and coat skirt. Beautiful hand painted bisque face. i believe this to be Heubach as I have other pieces from this time period which are attributed to the company. There is fire damage to her hat and one side of face due to candle fire. The top part of the red wooden holder is burned as well. I have not attempted to clean her. She stands with the aid of a wire behind her and is glued to a painted mica covered disc. Some paint loss around one foot and the wire has lifted a bit. Candle drip on disc and coat.Portion of paper tag which indicates piece was purchased at Fredrick and Nelson\'s Department store in Seattle, Wa. I had other pieces found with her with same tag all intact indicating the same.
