Up for sale are these two Nightstand/dresser lamps. I have done a littleresearch on these lamps. There are three markings on the back ofeachlamp. First is the number 14702. Under the number it says: Germany. On the side of the number and Germany it looks like a \"G\" with two lines through it and the letters DEP under the mark.Using that information, if I see it correctly, I found that they were made by Unger, Schneider & Cie. According to the markingand the added letters of DEP, it looks like they were made around 1879. This is from my point of view and what I could find, you be the judge. I can\'t pick up the marking on pictures however I tried darkening them-which will wash off. The lamps have a girl figurine on each of them with a long corset type pink dress. Each lamp is 12 inches tall with shade. The bases are about 4 inches long and 3 1/4 deep. I really don\'t see any chips orbreaks on these lamps. I found that odd because of their age. They do need to be rewired as I don\'t believe that this wiring would be safe to use. I will not plug them in to see if they work. Some of the cloth wrappedcord looks to be fraying and they have the ungroundedplug in.The shades do not appear to be the original shades as they are marked 1986. They seem to be in good condition, but if you win this offer and don\'t want the shades, I will not include them. They do look cute with the color of the dresses however.
