From our mother\'s house, I remember it from childhood and it was old then, with 60+ years added

None of the siblings want it

No markings, possibly from Germany where my ancestors came from

Needs some polish & elbow grease

Made in a time when actual craftsmen & artists made such household goods,

(appears not to be mass-produced)

Items like this were probably quite costly in those times, when you think about it....Measures 5 inchestall, 8-1/4 inches with handle up, 6 inch diameter
(for a size reference, in the photos it is sitting on the lid of a clothes washer)

Made of solid copper, weighs a little over 1 pound

When listing this item I googled the price of copper and found:
