Very nice vintage Singer Sewing Machine cabinet with beautiful cast iron base. This particular base is very unique for two reasons: 1) The treadle arm is wood - all of the other cast iron bases we\'ve seen have a cast iron arm. It looks to be original and we expect that it would be an upgrade to provide quieter operation. 2) The large trademark logos formed into the casting on either end are rare and unique. Plus the logos and the SINGER name are all painted gold, which looks to be original.The bottom of the cast iron base has four castors that all turn freely and are in good condition. The wood cabinet is in very good condition and could easily be refitted with a sewing machine or repurposed into a game or liquor cabinet. Note: The spring for assisting the raising / lowering of the sewing machine is still under the top.Visible in the pictures by the flywheel is the belt.Please note that this is a large item and while we are happy to ship it to you the shipping costs are high because it is considered oversized.
