WELCOME; TODAY I\'M OFFERING FOR offer A WONDERFULWOOD HANDCARVED AMERICAN BALD EAGLE PANEL SCENE. Lots of charm and very dark coloring to the oak and now with great age and patina. The eagle with it\'s snarly characteristic is surrounded at the base with 2 acanthus leaves that flow and entertwine with the wing feathers.Nicely toned wood showing distinctive graining. The originalpurpose, originandhistory is unknown. Ican only guess what its previous use was; this does have signs on the back/front showing it was removed from something. Sturdy built,with handmade primitive carving inrelief details, distinct facial, and featherdetail. Made of two pieces of oak, up to 1 1/2\" thick dimensional wood joined together prior to the carving. Sometime in its past this Eagle was removed from its original use and the carving was framed with 2\" x 3/4\" pine, and nailed in place and now the framein poor conditionplus poor workmanship. Frame measures 18 x 17. The carved eagle panel measures 17 x 15.25.

CONDITION; The frame is in poor condition and would be best removedor replaced. The wood frame has serious worm holes and the poor construction we believe would benefitwithout the frame. Thisunique one-of-a-kind piece could be used over a door, window or pediment ~ perfect representation of Americana art. We are leaving the framein place for support and decision left to the next owner.
