This is a fantastic antique oil lamp, now electrified, with gorgeously hand-painted globe with full -sized highly detailed orchids on both sides (both shown in the photos). It is complete with lamp base, chimney, and globe. The base is incredibly ornate castmetal withscrolled handles andcut-out floral band around the middle of the base. The polished brass finish is in good condition with some areas of loss from age and use. There are a few repairs around the bottom where it looks like two of the feet were broken off and welded back in place with added copper reinforcement bars (shown in the last photo). All four feet are firmly attached, and the damage is not obvious from the top. There is a working socket in the top and a rotary switch on one of the feet. The cord looks relatively old but is in good condition. The glass is excellent with no cracks or chips, just a very slightly rough bottom edge. The lamp stands about 20 1/2\" H and the diameter of the globe is about 8\". It will be packed very well, double boxed, and insured during shipping.
