The shibayama handle is beautifully decorated with inlaid insects and has a lovely cross grain as you would
expect from the natural material. The piece has a meaning of life proverb painted in Chinese.
The silver collar has English hallmarks for London1903 althoughrubbedit can be made out with a glass.
