Antique Walnut/mixed woods Civil War era rope bed Carved Headboard and FootboardI had a 3/4 mattress made for this bed and there are two side rails ( not original to the bed) that hook into the headboard and footboard with one hook. Two hooks would make the bed more stable but it is usable as is. (Have used it as is for 25 years) Refinished in 1988 in a walnut/dark color.The headboard is approximately 4 feet 3 inches wide ad 4\' 4\'\' tall.The footboard is approximately 2\' 8\' tall and the same width as the headboard. The side rails hold the head and foot boards to create a perfect space for a 3/4 mattress...Pick up only but will work with you on shipping if you are interested and want to organize it thru a third party and pay them.
