I only use the word rare in my descriptions when I can\'t find another comparable item on my internet searches. This is an amazing tin toy top set that works perfectly and comes with it\'s original box which is still intact.You can see how the top locks into the launching mechanism that gets it spinning. When I sprung the blue top it spun for just under a minute. The simple, yet incredibly functional mechanism that spins these tin tops is typical of precise German engineering. Each top is about 3 inches in height and has a 2 inch diameter. The box has some tape that has held loose corners.
