Thissale features an exceptional gold filled antiquepocket watch chain necklace. We have a fabulous heavy, embossed or stamped, wide (1/4\") pocket watch chain with added pocket watch chain extensions which connect at the back of the necklacewith the original jumpring and swivel making this necklace 21 5/8\" long. Hanging from this necklace is a swivel holding a giant jeweled locket. The locket measures 1 7/16\" in diameter.The locket was made by Bates and Bacon (see company history below) and it is marked 14K - 1/10. Having the locketattached with a swivel allows you to exchange or add lockets, pocket watches or other fobs. Next we have a tiny mourning or memorial wax seal fob with a lavender intaglio on the bottom. The stone has eight crosses and the words IN LIFE engraved into it. It is in excellent used condition. Locket opens and closes securely. No missing paste stones. No kinks or crimps to the chains. Both swivels work well. Only very minor wear to the metal from use. One of a kind and it is ready to wear! Totalweight 52 grams.

Company history: The locket is marked B & B which represents BATES & BACON of Attleboro, Massachusetts. This companywas organized in 1856 by George M. Bacon and J. M. Bates. Theymanufactured chains, pencils, knives, jewelry, lockets and braceletfobs.Around 1919 it was ownedby Amos Blackinton and Frank E. Tappen.
