Antique Zuni Sterling Silver Blue Turquoise Inlay Necklace Circa 1930s:
$300.00

Greeting,
As my regular customers already know I present items for sale that are exquisite, high quality, and unique. More importantly I present a collection of quality items at great prices. Even the vintage collectibles areaffordablypriced for the true collector.
Today I present to you this Antique Zuni Silver Blue Turquoise Inlay Necklace Circa 1930s. The vintage Zuni necklace has one of the older spring ring clasps with sterling silver stamped on it. As information, the spring ring was invented in the early 1900s so any vintage antique piece before the 1900s would not have the spring ring clasp. Harry Wachenheimer was granted a patent for the spring ring clasp in 1921. This Zuni necklace has the old style of spring ring clasp dating it to the 1930s.
I have listed the antique necklace as being made by an unknown Zuni artisan. However, I have learned that with these early 1930s vintage pieces both the Zuni and Navajo artisans collaborated in making the jewelry. The Zuniartisandid the turquoise inlay work while the Navajoartisandid the metal work. This particular vintage necklace has the look and feel of Zuni turquoise inlay work while the silver settings is more of the early Navajo style.
Description

The turquoise inlay is dirty and the sterling silver has a heavy surface layer of patina. There is also a visible scratch or small crack in the left turquoise inlay facing the camera. History
This vintage necklace belonged to my late brother Johnnie who was an avid antique collector. He particularly enjoyed collecting vintage Native American turquoise jewelry. In 2001 he purchased the antique Zuni necklace at an estate sale in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
Even though I have a fixed price with listing I am also willing to negotiate a selling price for those serious collectors who must have this vintage piece, so make me a serious offer. I am trying to find a good home for this incredible vintage piece.
