~Antique English Victorian Tile c. 1870’s ~

• Fireplace tile, with brown and tan quarters.

• The designs are stylized flower heads, and leafs, two of the quarter sections are butterfly decorated. Each panel is seperated with a border and outer striped border.

• MAKER: \"MAW & CO., BENTHALL, WORKS, BROSELEY, SALOP.\" Victorian tile by the English firm MAW & Co.

• The marks pressed on back were used by \"Maw\" between 1870 and 1880.

• The round impressed mark on back reads as follows:

“FLOREAT, SALOPIA, MAW”

• Measures: 6” x 6”x ½”

• Condition: Used. Has minor chipping and hairline crack, this tile appears to have never had any grout or mortor used on it, has light surface crazing
