Up for sale comes this outstanding solid brass door knocker from the 1880\'s. This piece was salvaged in Manhattan during the demolition of an early 1800\'s brick building (large one family home) that was torn down in the 1950\'s to make place for a new construction. The size makes this particular knocker desirable and rare: 7\" long and 4 1/2 LBS! All the details are in excellent condition and it just looks awesome. I was saving it for our home for many years, but since we do not have a big enough front door on our current house and it doesn\'t seem that we will be moving anytime soon, it is up for sale...Please feel free to ask questions.
