I\'m moving back to England to finish my retirement. I\'ve been collecting Dollhouses, dolls, bears, toys and goodness knows what else for more than 60 years and unfortunately I can\'t take all my goodies with me. Therefore my treasures are up for sale.
This is a very high quality Victorian Skirt or petticoat, made by La Mode Skirt Co., Ogdensburg, NY. The waist measurement is 32\" and the length is 41\". The waist has a placket to put a drawstring through. As per the label, this is made of a very thick and heavy satiny silk. There are 2 flaws where the fabric has deteriorated. The frilled section at the bottom is lined and it has a dirt-catching braid along the bottom. If you didn\'t want to keep this \'as is\' , the fabric alone with its ruffles is worth having to re use for dressing dolls etc.See photos for details.
