Antique lighter from the early 1900s. Large, unusual lighter. :
$9.50

Ok, so…I’ve searched and searched, trying to get someinformation about this lighter, but can’t find a thing. I THINK it may be fromaround the 1930s because of the unusual “fueling method” it uses. Not positive, though, so I’ll just tell ya what I can tell ya about it. It is 4” tall x 2 ¼”wide x 1” thick. The top part is gold-colored/plated or maybe brass ??? (youcan tell there is silver color underneath where there’s some scratching). It iswrapped in dark brown leather, and there is a tear in the leather in one spoton one side. You push the “side bar” and it has a “flint-like” type ignitor, but it looks different than today’s lighters. Totally different “set up”. Itook the plate off the bottom of the lighter so you could see where it opens upfor fueling. It is similar to a Zippo, but the part you unscrew is about thesize of a nickel…about 5 plus times larger than the bottom screw of a Zippo. ITHINK it may use kerosene. Not sure…???

The plate on the bottom says “Have a Lite On” – Vanant Products– Tomah, WIS. – Milwaukee, WIS.

If purchasing more than one item, please wait to pay and letme know by message when you’re ready to pay, and I’ll send you a newinvoice with a shipping discount for combined shipping. J
