This is a lovely antique mid 19th century bronze Putto or Cherub with two dogs . The figure holds one dog whilst the other animal cheekily pulls on the figure\'s clothing . It is superbly patinated bronze and is a period piece dating to c1850 -1890. It is well cast,in fact a superior casting as can be seen in the detail which is sharp and striking.
This is a genuine antique and not one of the fakes so common online and now disfiguring \"antique\" fairs. The piece is not signed as is common at this time. This piece is also on sale elsewhere so might be taken off sale at any time .
