The bell is solid copper and the copper plated iron base is 4 3/8\" in diameter. The cast bronze twist plate is 3 1/2 x 1 3/4\". It will accommodate any door by simply shortening the twist rod to the desired length. The copper bell provides a unique ring tone that is slightly different than other metals-perhaps a bit softer. There is a delightful repeating ring tone when turned in either direction.
