A late 19th century/early 20th C pair of Japanese kutani vases, decorated in orange/coral and gilt on a white background. Overpainted scenes of exquisitely hand detailed birds and flowers, the reverse with puppies and flowers. Decorative handles on each side of the slim neck bear a single white flower.
The word Kutani means Nine Valleys and is the name of an area and a village.One \'tiny tiny flea bite of paint loss\' only on each rim we should mention - see photo. Otherwise perfect. Priced to sell.
