Description Wonderful hand beaded Edwardian drawstring purse pompadour element. This is an extremely rare early 20th century drawstring purse element with faceted black bugle and metallic charlotte seed beads, all knotted together on black cotton. This would have been made by homeworkers and then sent off to have a silk or satin lining attached along with a hooped hem and drawstring. Considering the age, it is in remarkable condition. I have also seen these in the Jewish museum as funeral mourning coin purses. In the right skilful hands, this would make a super rare clutch bag. Alternatively, it is of museum age and quality.
