Shrewsbury, England.Description:This is a 19th century brooch in a typical Victorian mount. The repousse panel is Indian, Kutch and depicts Sarasvathi the goddess of music, art and knowledgeon a peacock.The entire piece is made from Sterling grade silver (unmarked but tests positive).It is all hand worked and is of an excellent standard.This unusual brooch would probably have been a souvenir of empire made for the British market.
Condition:Excellent condition.
Measurements:5cm by 4.2 cm and 2 cm in depth.
