This is an old Victorian era photo album that has medium wear on the maroon coloredvelvet, considering its well over 140 years old (I\'m guessing 1850-1880\'s). Theheight of the album is 10.5 inches by 8.5 inches & gold colored pages about 2 inches in width & silver colored metal designs on the front. The lock on the side of the book is missing. The binding is in good condition. The spine on the book is in medium condition. There are 29 cabinet card photos & room for one more. Towards the back of the book there are 2 1/2 pages of tin type photos (12 total) & then 4 smaller regular photos that are smaller than the cabinet cards. That is 45 pictures total & one hand writtenmanifesto of names of Alice Wood scholars. This album seems to have belonged to a Miss Alice Wood, who\'s main photo isin front of book (Townsend\'s Studio,Cor. Lincoln Ave & 3rd Street, Hastings, Neb); and on the back side of her photo (in the next photo slot that is empty on next page)is a hand written piece of paper with a note saying \"Present to Alice Wood By Her Scholars\" -with 17 different names on front & back. The persons in album seemed to be well to do, as noted in the clothing worn in the photographs. Some of the cabinet cards read Reading,PA, Railroad Hutching Photo Car, A. Renaas, Decora, Iowa, Rhodes, Phillipsburg, N.J, Shane, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Maryland& many more. Many Pictures have full names of person or persons\' in photos with ages & dates. The resemblance can be made between different pictures that the people in the album are related. In addition you can tell that some pictures are older than others. This is a great album with family pictures with relatives living all over the United States, seems as if Miss Alice Wood was originally from the East Coast somewhere? A great piece of history. Album comes as is with all the photos & manifesto. If there is any questions please feel free to send me a message. Thank you & have a good day. M~
