This is an outstanding antique sterling silver and faux tortoise shell tea caddy by ATKIN BROTHERS of SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND. This oval piece is in excellent estate condition; I see no defects of any kind. Both the bottom and lid are clearly hallmarked with the Sheffield Assay mark, the manufacturer\'s mark of Atkin Brothers, and the date represented by the letter \"p\". This tea caddy weighs 138 grams or 4.9 ounces; it stands about 4\" tall and the base is 3\" X 2\". (Please excuse the reflections on the photos.) The lid fits snugly in its original state, and there is no monogram. I have taken quite a few photos which speak to the quality and condition of the beautiful caddy.
