Apollo 11 - Gold Kapton Foil Flown to the Moon - On Beautiful COA - $39.95:

Authentic fragment of the gold Kapton foil that covered the outside of the Apollo 11 command module, Columbia, as part of the thermal protection system. This fragment flew to the moon and back to earth as part of the Apollo 11 mission.
The fragment is housed in a round, one inch diameter, clear plastic holder. The holder can be carefully opened into two parts - top and bottom. The fragment of Kapton has been tacked to a white card stock backing using a non-toxic glue stick, then placed in the plastic holder.
This fragment was left over from a larger piece used by a NASA employee to make a presentation display as you can see from the COA.
The plastic holder is attached to a beautiful 5 1/2\" x 8 1/2\" certificate of authenticity describing the history of the fragment.
I have a number of these small fragments that will be made into displays similar to the image I\'ve posted. Each one of these will be different, but the length of the Kapton at the longest point will be about 1/4\".(Note: four fragments are shown in the last image above. This is to show you the variety of shapes the Kapton may come in. The price listed above is for ONE piece, not all four.)
As I\'ve illustrated above, the piece you get may be rectangular, triangular or irregular.
I\'ve placed a ruler under the plastic holder in two of the images I uploaded to give you an idea of the size. Ther ruler is in one inch divisions.
Yep, the piece of Kapton is tiny, but so is the price. Thisisprobably the most affordable you\'ll find a flown piece of Apollo 11 Kapton.
