Sometime in the early 1980’s I purchased three (3) new sports related mechanical games produced by J.F. Frantz Manufacturing, a division of the Johnston Products Company. This sale will include their sales flyer detailing the products. I’ve recently sold the football and basketball games and only have the Little League Baseball game available for this sale. This 5 cent Little League game is in excellent lightly used condition. There is some minor chipping to the paint graphics on the colorful reverse glass panel. The larger of these can be seen on the lower right green area near the gray uniform pant leg (pictured). Play begins with the insertion of a nickel, releasing 5-chrome balls. The right knob is turned and the baseball figure bats the ball up through the maze of bumpers in the vertical play field. The left knob is then used to manipulate the catcher figure back and forth in a attempt to catch the ball. Successful catches are tabulated on a mechanical score keeper and reflects the players rating from a little league score of 20 to the big league score of 80. The colorful metal marquee reading “Test Your Skill-J.F. Frantz MFG Chicago ILL.” is displayed along the top on a hinged base. The die-cast aluminum mechanical components of the game are housed in a quality oak cabinet. The plate on the side panel reflects the Model Number 400 and the Serial Number 84062. This sale does not include a coin catcher as one was never received with the unit. I always used an old cigar box for the nickels to drop in. The dimensions as listed on the sales flyer are 25x15x11 inches. Net weight is 25 lb. I am listing this sale for local pick-up.
