Beautiful gold metal antique religious figurine of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ with the arma Christi, or instruments of the passion, under a glass dome. This intricately detailed figurine of Jesus on the cross is cast in a gold finished spelter metal mounted to a round wooden base. The various instruments depicted include a lantern and a scourge, the chalice, pitcher, dice, rooster, skull and bones, crossed swords, robe, ladder, lance and sponge. This Crucifixion statue probably dates from the early to mid-1900\'s. It comes with a glass dome that fits into the grooves which are inside the black wooden base.It stands almost 12\" tall to the top of the glass dome on a 5.5\" diameter round base, and weighs just over 2.5 lbs.A highly collectible Christian icon in very good condition that signifies the Easter season.
