AGE: C.1920/1930 or so - Art Deco periodITEM: This particular offering of mine came straight off a \"sample sheet\" of medals that a salesman would have carried with him to show to potential jewelry dealers. The religious charm offered here is a lovely depiction of Saint Theresa aka St Thérèse of Lisieux. Plain back. The charm, more than likely, was a presentation present for First Communion or Confirmation.CONDITION: Very nice with no problems I can spot. METAL CONTENT: Gold Filled Content.HALLMARKS: ORIA on the bale as well as one French poincon denoting country of origin and metal content. Note: Oria is a mark similar to the French trade name FIX. Both makers specialised in heavy gold filled jewellery which would deceive an onlooker into believing it was genuine gold through and through. The metal, and top \"bloom\" of high carat gold (usually 18K), make the piece practically perfect, hardly EVER showing wear due to its thickness and durability.SIZE: Medal, without bale or jump ring, measures 13/16\" approx high/wide.WEIGHT: 2.9 gramsFINAL COMMENTS: All that\'s needed now is the right chain (mine is for display purposes only) or bracelet!SAINT THERESE: Saint Thérèse of Lisieux born Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin (2 January 1873 – 30 September 1897), also known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face was a French Catholic Discalced Carmelite nun who is widely venerated in modern times.
