Art Deco solid silver cigarette case
Paste ruby gemstones are set into the clasp, with a
solid gold thumbpiece(tested as 14k)a beautiful point to note.

900 silver standard, Vienna. Maker A.R. Inscription of \'A C Danner Vienna 1926\'
Panels of gold surround the body. Each heavily gilded with rose and yellow gold bars. It is an enticingly handsome pattern.

An Austrian cigarette case sizable in both size and design, this is a prime example of 1920\'s Viennese beauty.
Set with pinstripe decoration in vivid rose and yellow gold gilding, these stripes stand in perfect contrast to the silver body and give a definite formal feel to the case. Completed with paste ruby red stones to the clasp with an actual 14k gold thumbpiece(acid tested) this is an extremely intriguing case that easily fits a standard business card.
Measuring 4.25\' closed and bearing a silver weight of 150.5gms this is hefty in hand with a perfect opening and closing mechanism, the hinge is also perfect.
So, seize a cognac filled brandy balloon and take a journey back in time within a dignified, smoke filled gentlemen\'s club and with this case can be journeyed straight back into the roaring twenties.
In very good condition with a fine patina(including some tarnish), inside is some streak marks form polishing and very minor gilding rub to externals.
