Incredible, numbered vintage red Bakelite necklace and matching bracelet. Super rare and visually fantastic!

This is an iconic Art Deco tribal design...the center necklace piece is marked with the number 1683. A substantial and weighty set. The color is true, deep cherry Bakelite red. The long pieces have some marbling, the round beads do not. Tiny spacer beads are celluloid, as is the hook clasp. The chain is brass.

The elongated pieces on the bracelet and the necklace are identical (the necklace centerpiece with the imprinted number is slightly larger). These pieces each measure 1 5/8\" long x 9/16\" wide x 3/16\" thick. The center piece on the necklace is 1/4\" thick.

Red round beads on the necklace are 1/2\".

Both pieces have been professionally re-strung to match original look, with red-colored elastic (bracelet) and cord (necklace). Ready to wear!

I found this set at a remote antique/vintage store in rural Nebraska in 2003.
