Art Deco Bronze Figural Statue Jean Lambert-Rucki French Crucifix Rosewood 1930For sale, a very beautiful interpretation of the Christ sur la croix, bronze made by Jean Lambert-Rucki (1887 - 1967). Born in Cracovie he goes in Paris in 1911. He was a friend of Modigliani and Soutine who frequented the Paris of Montparnasse between war with other artists like Chagall, Léger or Cendrars. Influenced by Cubism and after by the Surréalisme, he was a master of the art deco style. This crucifix was made in the 30\'s with the Art Deco style. There\'s his signature on the side of the Christ. The patina is magnificent and there\'s no damage on the bronze. The cross is rosewood made, there\'s a light break on the wood near the feet of the Christ on the side of the cross, please watch the last 2 photos. Otherwise, the bronze is an exceptionnal item from this great artistic era.
The cross has a size of 13\'\' x 9.75\'\' ( 33 x 25 cm) and has a total weight of 1 Lb 7.3 oz (660 gr)
