This is a carefully restored highly collectableEmersonModel AL149 AM Radio from 1937 ina dark brown/walnut bakelite. It is abeautifulexample of art decocabinetry.
I personally restored this radio. All paper and electrolytic capacitors were replaced. All tubes were checked and replaced if weak. I replaced the old power cord and replaced the plug with a new polarized one. The grill cloth was replaced and the cabinet polished. I carefully aligned the IF, oscillator and antenna trimmer. The case is very good with 1 barely visible repaired crack on top left front (see last picture).The control knobs are all original. There are a few light scratches that you would expect from years of use and storage.This radio tunes and plays very well.Please look at the pictures to verifycosmetic condition.
