ART DECO GEORGE STOCKWELL CONTINENTAL SILVER BOOK SHAPE CASE MARCASITE

Description

A good quality art deco period silver and blue guilloche enamel ladies case marked for George Stockwell. George stockwell was an importer of continental silver to the UK and this is one such piece.The case is designed similar to a book with silver and marcasite encrusted hinges and clasp. There is guilloche enamel to the cover and the sides and the base has ornate engine turned decoration with floral motifs.
