Welcome to my sale for this lovely cut glass with etched design powder bowl with solid silver and guilloche enamelled lid. This is a hall marked piece from makers Henry Clifford Davis of Birmingham with either letter C or G dating it to c1927 or 1931. A lovely Art Deco bowl in the most beautiful baby blue shade.

Condition

This is not an item I usually collect, however will do my utmost to describe this as accurately as possible. This shows signs of use by wear on the bottom of the glass bowl as one would expect from sitting on top of dressing table etc. There is no damage to either bottom or rim of glass bowl and apart from one pit mark near etched decoration I would state it is in very good condition. The enamel is also intact apart from a minute spot of oxidation near rim as shown in photo 2 @ the 6 o\'clock position. The enamel blue colour changes quite easily when light changes, however I would place this shade as a deep baby blue (photo 2). This bowl is a delight and a worthy addition to any collection.

They are all at least vintage pieces or older and as such may have flaws within the manufacturing process commensurate with age as one would expect. I will not mention these on individual pieces, however will, as accurately as possible detail cracks, crazing etc that will affect its desirability. I have some fabulous rarer collectable items so please watch closely......
