This sale is for a wonderful, Art Deco, Iron Fireman ashtray. This vintage collectible, a great example from the Industrial Machine Age of that era, depicts a Robot Tin Man, shoveling coal. I bought this great piece from an antique sale, recently. When I bought him, I knew nothing about him.....just that I loved the look of him for display. From my research, this piece would have been made by AC Rehberger Chicago, though I cannot find the maker\'s mark. It is made of cast iron and was, originally, coated in some type of silver....not sure what....a lot of which is worn away. A great advertising piece from this time period. It does show wear and discoloration (see photos), but it is not cracked or broken, anywhere. This guy measures 6 5/8" long x 4 5/8" wide x 4 3/4" tall.
