This stunning pair of vintage Faries uplights is a superb example of iconic American Art Deco design form & manufacture. Unlabeled, but most certainly designed by Bert Dickerson ca. 1938. During his tenure as Head Designer for Faries, Dickerson created many of the most iconic lighting designs of the American Art Deco era. Solid, round chromed steel bases ground these well- all the way up through their flared trumpet shades. A single lucite collar accents the neck of each lamp. Steel switches at base of trumpet shades. These clean, classic forms integrate beautifully with a broad range of design & decor settings- 20 C Modernist, Bauhaus, Mid Century Atomic, Regency, Contemporary Modern+++.The original felted-board base covers were removed when the lamps were rewired (by Lee Arts nyc) in the mid 70\'s.
This surviving, original pair of fully working lamps is in incredible condition with lack of age-commensurate appearance- no pitting, no rust, no discoloration. The Original chrome-plating is INTACT.
