Up for sale is a rare and very unusual necklace ensemble from theArt Deco era and consists of a pendant style necklace, hinged clamper bracelet and matching set of earrings. All are done in ornate gilded brass, green high dome top cabochons and pearls.MARKINGS: The set was not marked but the quality of the brass filigree appears to be of West German or Czech origin.DESCRIPTION: The necklace is a pendant style with ornate filigree brass done in a floral design in some areas as well as spiral twists for enhancements. At the center of all these is a high dome cabochon in brilliant green surrounded by beautiful pearls. The pendant itself measures 2 1/4\" x 1 3/8\" (approximately) and comes with an ornate chain that is 21\" from end to end. It has a spring ring clasp and measures 12 3/4\" when hanging. The bracelet is a hinged clamper. It follows the same design as the pendant only the focal point is a little larger and more circular. It is approximately 1 1/2\" in diameter. The inside diameter of the clamper is 7\". It could fit on a larger wrist but there would be a gap between the focal and the wire portion at the end. The earrings are screw back and carry over the same design as the center focal point on the pendant and bracelet. They measure 7/8\" in diameter.CONDITION: All are in very good condition. They do have a beautiful patina and may need a gentle cleaning as I only did a light cleaning for photo purposes only. There is some discoloration to the wire on the clamper, which can be seen in the photos. Also, the hinge mechanism may need some sort of adjustment as it appears a bit loose. Almost as though it has been worn on a very large wrist. The pearls have all been replaced as the originals were in awful condition and the wire had disintegrated that was holding them in place. I have a large stash of all sized pearls in all colors so I was lucky to match them exactly.
