I bought this at an antique show. I could be forgiven for thinking it *might* be a blue zircon, given the green hue and 1920s setting (and terrible florescent lighting at the show). But closer inspection and testing have revealed an extremely beautiful and rare seafoam green aquamarine! Check it out next to a more traditionally colored aqua in pic #5 to see what I mean (this listing is ONLY for the seafoam aqua as the other is on lay away for a lucky customer!) Wouldn\'t this be an awesome engagement ring for a wedding with a vintage theme and pale green/seafoam color scheme?

So not only do we have a gorgeous, unusually hued gem, but look at that setting! Round with a chased stylized floral design that reminds me of a sunflower, this ring has rose gold accents on its yellow gold face, which is a very Gatsby Era adornment. The center aqua measures about 8.75mm in diameter and is of old European cut (OEC) with a small table. It is estimated to weigh 1.4 carats. The stone is a medium light green with blue flash and undertone.

The ring has detailed, engraved, shoulders that taper from 4mm to 1.5mm at the back of the band. The face of the ring is about 12mm in diameter-- a nice size that would work equally well for a right hand or engagement piece. It stands about 6mm off the hand and is easy to wear. Its marked and tested for 10K.

Condition is very good. Under magnification, the stone shows some wear to the table facet edge and a nick on the table itself. These are not visible on the hand, but you can see this if you zoom in on the pics. The band looks to have been resized and could be so again. The ring is a size 5.5 and can go up to a 7.5 or down to a 4.5 with ease. This piece weighs 1.8 grams.
