***Since I posted this Iaccidentally cracked a piece off the third photo pictured item (I am holding it in my hand - there was already a small chip on said item which I noted with a yellow post-it. Said piece can be glued on and measures about 1.5 inches long. I have reduced the price of this item as a result. I can send you a photo of said piece if you want.
SELLER\'S PROMISE: If you are not 100% delighted with your purchase here than I accept unconditional full returns with my paying your return shipping.
FOR SALE: 4 LONDON CROSS ITEMS which hold 3 glass pieces and also has one removable piece in total.
HISTORY ON HOW I ACQUIRED THESE ITEMS:These items have been in my family since I was born. They were kept in various rooms of my house growing up and finally ended up in a box in storage. I gently dusted them off and present them here to the best of my ability. I did research but cannot find anything online that is close to this set thus my description is based upon my common sense and honesty. I will err on the side of being cautious. Please note my BIN is a guess on their value. I welcome all offers. All 4 items are stamped or marked with the famous indiciaCROSS LONDON.
The biggest item is the pen holder which has 2 long grooves in front. It measures about 9 inches long and 5.75 inches wide. The base has a depth of .75 inches. This is very solid with a really nice heavy weight in-hand. It has 2 metal silver looking (is it silver?) hinged inkwells that snugly hold 2 thick glass inkwells - one has a medium looking crack in the bottom of the well that does not extend to the actual bottom of the glass. Both wells are a dirty and need to be cleaned. I see no other condition issues on either glass inkwell. CROSS LONDON is stamped on the top of each silver lid, which also shows a circular area on each which is darker (perhaps oxidization). I show a photo of the bottom, which has 4 off-colored bolted nuts. I think the black base is marble because it is cool to the touch or perhaps it could be a black glass. One corner of the black base has a little chip off and other corner has a tinier chip.
A second item is what was called the perpetual calendar (there was a sticker card on it that said that). It says CROSS LONDON on the bottom. It has 3 chips on the corners - 2 are tiny. It needs a cleaning. The base shows various scratches. It is about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide. There are 4 circular balls on the bottom and 2 screws in the middle. I think the black base is marble or perhaps black glass.
A third object is a hinged rectangular item, which has a pull out 3-compartment divider made of stainless steel perhaps or maybe silver (the divider has no markings on it just a very small manufacturing punched hole in one corner). Close to the same measurements of the above item but a bit smaller. The bottom is the same as the one above too with CROSS LONDON stamped on the bottom. One corner has a chip on it and I took a photo of it and taped a piece of yellow paper with an arrow pointing to said chip. The bottom also has scratches on it. I think the bottom is marble or perhaps black glass. SEE ABOVE INFO IN RED. I DAMAGED THIS OBJECT FURTHER.
A fourth object is a square piece and measures 3 inches by 3 inches - and also is made of marble or perhaps black glass. The black base has tiny chips on 3 corners and a bigger chip on a 4th corner. The bottom base has 4 circular legs with one screw in the middle - it has scratches too. There is a 5-sided glass inkwell that fits snugly in the center and it is dirty requiring a cleaning with a tiny chip on the bottom.SHIPPING:My estimate on Priority insured shipping in a big solid and well protected box with each item itself being well protected is$23.00.I of course will provide a partial refund if the actual shipping cost is less than $23.00. If the shipping costs more I will pay it. In total all items have a nice sold fairly hefty weight!
I do not ship outside the continental USA.
