This beautiful terra cotta mask is a more recent interpretation of the German \"BambergerReiter,\" the Bamberg Horseman, anearly 13th-century stone equestrian statue by an anonymous medieval sculptor located in the cathedral of Bamberg in Germany. The original shows the very handsome young rider astride a horse. This piece is a wonderful likeness of his head, and it is very collectible. There is a large hole in the back from which the maskcan be hung. He measures 8 inches from feather at the top to the end of his neck and 4 1/2 inches from side to side.
