STERLING SILVER & GOLD CIGARETTE CASE

Presenting an exceptionally fine sterling silver
cigarette case with stylish 9k rose gold inlay.

This fabulous cigarette case would also make
a stylish and luxurious business card case.

This superb case dates from the 1940s Art Deco period and has
a wonderfully sleek streamlined shape and stylish design.

The exterior of the solid silver body features inlaid horizontal stripes of 9ct
rose gold which perfectly accentuates the sleek, clean lines of the case.

A circular inlaid gold cartouche to the top left front side of the
case has been stylishly engraved with the previous owners initials
"GAD" adding a certain charm to this genuinely vintage piece.

An additional inscription reading "G.A.Downing 31.7.49" appears to the interior.

A button to the side is pressed to open the spring released hinge
and the case springs smoothly open. The interior of the case has a
light gilt gold coloured wash, and the original ornate gate clip
to hold cigarettes or business cards in place remains.

This fabulous Art Deco period case is presented in excellent vintage
condition with no big dings, breaks or losses. This case appears to have
has only light loving use with only very minimal, exceptionally fine surface
scratches and the odd incredibly minuscule indent. These are far less than
would be expected with a case of this vintage and are noticeable only on
extremely close examination in bright raking light but are mentioned for
complete accuracy. The hinge and button press clasp are in excellent smooth
working order. This case has been well cared for and presents beautifully.

The fabulously thin and sleek streamlined shape make this gorgeous
vintage case a delight to use and hold. The precious materials used
to create this high quality piece combined with the sophisticated
design ensure this case is sure to make a real impression!

This exceptionally fine case measures approx 105mms in length, 76mms in
width and 812mms in depth. This impressive piece weights approx 145 grams.
