Here is an interesting fact about Markel\'s Empire Line of slip shade light fixtures. A number of vintage Empire Slip Shade Chandeliers and Sconces appeared in the Hollywood Movie entitled, \"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button\", starring Brad Pitt! Next time you watch the movie, pay attention to the bar scenes in the movie! One of the bars was decorated with Markel Empire Slip Shade Light Fixtures!

And now, let\'s turn our attention from Hollywood back to Nashville ~ that\'s where we live! The Markel Empire Line of slip shade chandelier that we are offering for sale, measures approximately 32 inches in length and 17 inches in width (that\'s measuring with all 5 of the shades in place). This Empire model comes with a rare harp configuration that includes a Bakelite center column which is a beautiful burgundy color. The column is free from any breaks or chips. The rest of the fixture is made of cast iron and while it appears that much of the original finishcolors arestill there, I do not know what type of restoration the fixture needs. There is some thin surface rust on the inner sides of the metal. The 5 vintage glass slip shades are in good shape with no cracks and just the usual fitter flea bites. The fixture has no electrical.

Note ~ each glass slip shade will be individually double boxed to ship them safely. You will receive your glass slip shades undamaged!
